Yugo Taguchi is a Japanese reggae artist and producer based in Berlin, Germany. Born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, Yugo discovered reggae as a teenager and was immediately drawn to its messages of unity, spirituality, and resistance. Over more than a decade of performing, he has transformed that early passion into an internationally recognized career that bridges Japanese culture, European underground music, and the roots of Caribbean reggae.

In 2015, Yugo relocated to France, immersing himself in the European reggae scene and forging connections with artists including Bigga Ranx, Junior Roy, Ricky Sai Sai, and Joseph Cotton. These collaborations shaped his signature sound — rooted in traditional dub and roots reggae, yet infused with a distinctly contemporary, cross-cultural sensibility.
